Export to RTF or Word

Hi, We have an access database that loggs calls against customers. We have Reports that run for each customer for all calls on their account, but what i need to do and cannot work out is how do we export that report so that it automatically saves as the surname.forename.rtf or doc or xls..

any help much appreciated.

what about the export function? this is transfertext or transferspreadsheet. this doesnt do any formating though. you would call this in some vba code and when naming call the fields you wish to use to name with.

For starters:

DoCmd.OutputTo acOutputReport, "YourReportName", acFormatRTF, "OutPutPath.rtf", False

Optionally you can tailor the output source and output type.
