I'm trying to export a file to PDF. When I choose this, it says "cant find Acrobat distiller will try generic PPD". I've checked my PPD folder but there is nothing inside it.

On Quark's website I read you should have a acrodist.exe file in your Windows/System folder. I can't find that file in it.

Can I download that file somewhere, or do I have to buy Adobe Distiller? How did you guys do this?
thanks for any help...

Yes - Distiller must be purchased. --> adobe.com

Unless you are running Quark 6, Quark does not really export PDFs. It relies on Distiller to create a PDF.

You might also look into using Ghostscript, a freeware alternative to Distiller... though I would not trust the output as well as Distiller.

What is the cheapest version I can buy? Do I have to shell out $300 for Adobe Acrobat 6?
I can't find Adobe Distiller by itself anywhere, any suggestions?
thanks again..

Distiller is part of Acrobat. You cannot purchase it alone.
