We have come across a problem that is very difficult to figure out and hope that someone has a solution.
We are using RDC and Crystal 8.5 to execute and render reports through the web. Everything works fine and the reports are displayed properly in the web browser using the ActiveX viewer. However, when you attempt to export the report from the viewer to PDF, the following error is generated:
"Missing or out of date export dll."
1. We have verified that the export dll is present on the web server (crxf_pdf.dll). We are able to export to PDF when running a report in Crystal on the server.
2. Exporting directly to PDF and bypassing the ActiveX viewer also works. The error only occurs when attempting to export to PDF using the ActiveX viewer.
3. We have applied Service Packs 2 and 3 for Crystal 8.5 to no avail.
Any clues or assistance would be much appreciated.
