I am trying to export a report to excel, and its not displaying it how i want.

I want it to display it in row format, and not like to report itself.

How would i do this????

Hi,
First try exporting using the 'data only' version of the Excel export choices and if that does not do what you need, you may want to redesign a version of that report to be more excel-like ( mainly a plain vanilla column layout, with or without grouping).

I have tried data only, and its not what i wanted.

I need it to look like a normal excel file, field headers in the first row, and then all records within the report in a new row.

The way it look now is like the report is just pasted into excel.

Why can't Crystal do this??? it would seem quite simple to give the user an options... You would think...

Which version of Crystal? And do you have the latest patches and dlls? In 2003, there was a change in Crystal 8.5 that improved it a great deal. If your export-choice says things like Excel Extended rather than MS Excel 97, then an update should fix it.
