Export to Excel problem

Hi

I am having a problem with a field on a report. It is a text type field in the base table, and has values like 2930-12 and 2930-5. When I export the report to excel, it is replacing SOME values with other numbers like 376536, and I dont know why or where it is getting these values from. On the Access report, the values are correct. Any ideas?

I'd say that maybe it is performing a subtraction. When you export to Excel, are you choosing to

or not?

Yes, the save formatted is ticked, I cant change it, the text box seems to be locked. Should it be?

I cant see any pattern -

E.G the number should be 2930-12, but it is 376536.

376536 equates to 1st December 2930 in Excel or, in the format yyyy-mm, 2930-12.

I don't know if knowing this will help you resolve the problem but.....
