Hi,

I have a gradient with 2 spot colors. I need to end up with an EPS that also has this gradient. However, when I export to an EPS from Indesign CS and then I open the resulting EPS in Illustrator, I no longer have my gradient. It looks correct, but when I click on the object, it is not a gradient. It also did not retain my two spot colors as swatches.

Does anyone know how to make this work?

TIA,
Susie

Recreating the artwork will be a last resort, I guess. Are you saying there's no way to preserve the gradient from Indesign?

Yup, If you notice your links pallete in Illustrator, you'll see your gradient has turned into a rasterized 4c image. You can make your whole InDesign page into an EPS, but the portion that is a 2 color spot gradient you'll need to build in Illustrator
