I have a payroll database that I need to export to another department in a .dbf format. I have created a make table query to get the results that I want. I need a code that will allow a user to export the table that was created by the query to a .dbf with the press of a button.

I would like to also keep track of the records that were exported in this process.

You need the TransferDatabase Method which you can run either via code or via a macro
