CR Ver 8.5 - I have multiple Oracle tables linked and some of the tables have the same data element names. Example Header.CustomerName and Detail.CustomerName. If both of these data elements are placed in the detail section, CR will prefix each with a DE for the detail section and the data name becomes "DE_CustomerName". The Table name is dropped. Access does not like this at all (dup names) when building the Access database from the CR export and aborts.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to allow CR to build unique names when exporting to Access?

Thanks again?? Gary R

I guess the simple answer is to create a formula that contains one of the fields and use that instead of the field.

Insert->Field Object->Right Click Formula Fields and select New and name it something unique.

Place the database field in there.

That is exactly what I did for this application. It only had a couple duplicate names and it works fine. I was just wondering if a slicker solution was available. I can live with this. Thanks for the reply.
