Export to a new database

I have a directory with the .DDF .DAT .IDX files and I want to read and export the archives to a new SQL server DB and I'm not able to do this. Thanks in andvance for any help.

One way you could do it if you don't want to mess with ODBC you can check out BtSearch at

http://www.nssdd.com.

It allows you to export your btrieve data to dbase or ascii format which you should then be able to import into your SQL database.

Well I am not opposed to taking the odbc approach. I was looking for some tips to do this without purchasing any additional software. And I do not really want to rely on some one else's personal software to handle my database. Well if anyone has any ideas I would appretiate it. Thanks

You can download the Pervasive SDK at

http://www.pervasive.com.

It I believe comes with a single user of PSQL 2000i. However, you should not access your data with two versions of Btrieve at the same time. It at least would provide you with the tools at no cost. To implement it though you would have to upgrade to PSQL 2000i.

I am not sure if this is a pervasive or macola problem but if anyone can help I would appretiate it.
I had to transfer my database to a new system. The database server is running Pervasive SQL.7 and Btrieve version 6.15. Now when I open Macola Progression and navigate to path Inventory Management\Maintain\Item Master(or any of the ___Master folders) I get:

ERROR 305 on file M:\DATA\IMCTLFIL.BTR - Message #0435

Does anyone have any clue that could point me in the right direction. Thank you in advance for any help.
