Wondering if somebody can help me guide me in the right direction.

I am trying to export a file to txt by using the export delimeter in a macro - (access 2003). The problem that I am having is with dates. In the parameter delimeter I tell it that I want YY/MM/DD with year having 4 numbers. What I am getting is the date with minutes in the txt file. How do I get rid of the dam minutes. I tried doing it in the prequery with no luck, format etc. Looked at the options panel in access to turn this off, no luck. I wish the delimeter had an option to include or exclude the minutes.

Thank you for looking at my Thread.

Have you tried creating a query, and using that to export the data? One advantage of a query is that you can 'pre-format' the date value, eg:

[tt]SELECT Format([myDate],"yyyy/mm/dd") AS myFormattedDate FROM myTable[/tt]

Does this help?

Thank you very much Max for your suggestion.
I was trying to format it using the txt created and export delimeter. The query worked fine and the exported file looked good saving me some extra steps.

Cheers,
Alexander
