I was quite surprised to find there is no OLEDB Destination connection option in SQL server 2005 data flows.
I can therfore read data from an external data source ( eg. Iseries/AS400 ) into SQL Server but I can't write it out.

I can code it in a VB.Net program but i would have expected BIDS to have this option.
I am missing an optiin somewhere?

Dazed and confused.

Yeah - i think you are missing something. I have just checked and i have an OLE DB Destination.

Also its on MSDN:

Sorry i meant BOL rather then MSDN.

Yea its wierd. It just doesn't appear in the toolbox destinations.
On another server that is running SQL server 2012 with Visual Studio 2008 it exists as an option.
