i know that u can export c crystal report to a wide variety of other formats. but i want to know if u can export the report by writing code in VB.

i dont want to view the report and then click on the export button.

Again, you can export from VB. You don't have to view the report. The code depends on whether you're using the OCX or RDC.

The method is .Export for the Report object in the RDC.
