Can't find how to export my mail accounts in Outlook 2003
Used to be a simple case of exporting the .IAF files in good old Outlook Express, but the option doesn't exist in Outlook 2003. ONLY, to import accounts.

Can anyone advise please ?
Many Thanks

Hi,

From a brief look around the web it appears the answer is there isn't. The only way I know to export your email account setting is to use the 'Save My Settings' utility found under Microsoft Office Tools. It creates a .OPS file which you can import in to a fresh install of Office and contains amongst other things like toolbar setting your email accounts.

Probably the ability to export a .IAf file is a feature that MS decided we don't really need!

Regards,

Just to re-new this thread, I have discovered that transferring e-mail accounts can be done with Outlook 2003. Unfortunately, it's a bit of a pain to do.

Apparently, the e-mail accounts are stored in the registry, at this location....somewhere !

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows Messaging Subsystem\Profiles

That is where the fun starts.

I can't figure out exactly which keys or data is actually the accounts !!

Anyone know ?

(I have a standalone Outlook 2003 disc, not the Office suite, so I don't think I have the "save settings wizard")

Cheers
