Crystal 10, Oracle 10g.
I remember there being an issue with an earlier version of Crystal reports in exporting fields with leading zeroes to Excel. If IDs or zip codes began with zeroes, these would export to Excel without the zeroes unless the zip code had a hyphen. My fix was to create a formula with a non-breaking space at the end of the field so that Excel would identify it as a text field and preserve the leading zeroes. I just revisited this in Crystal 10 and find that this is no longer a problem; the fields export correctly. Was this somehow corrected with a newer version of Crystal? I'm happy with the result. I'm just trying to determine when or how this got fixed or if I dreamed this problem up in the first place. Anyone see this before?
