I'm running Crystal Reports 11
I'm trying to set up my report to automatically export into a tab delimited text file upon execution. I believe there is a setting somewhere but I can't find it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure whether the options are available in Crystal XI - they may not have been available until 2008, but I don't have a copy of XI available so that I can check.

However, here's what you do:

- Select the "Separated Values (CSV)" format for export.
- On the Options screen, set the text delimiter (default is quote), or leave it blank
- For "Separator", clear the edit box and check the "Tab" box.
- Check "Isolate Report/Page sections" or set to "Do not Export"
- Check "Isolate Group sections" or set to "Do not Export"

If you're using headers and/or footers, you may have to play with the last two options to get the format you're looking for.
