Please help me with this issue:
I exported a report in excel data only, I got each line from the report on a line in excel. Eg:
514 Abe Sea Fcl FH
513 Bde Sea Fc gtjk

I had to add a subreport codes for each line of the report and now I get in excel the subreport codes on a second line.
514 Abe Sea Fcl FH
Abcode
513 Bde Sea Fc gtjk
Bdcode

I need the report to export in excel like before.
I would appreciate any idea.

Try this:

1. Suppress ALL sections of the subreport except the one that contains data.
2. Make sure that the height of the objects that contain data in the subreport is EXACTLY the same as the height of the fields in your main report.
3. Make sure that the subreport has the same "Y" coordinate as the data in the main report and is exactly the same height as the data in the main report.
4. If you haven't already, turn off the border lines for the subreport.
5. Resize the subreport horizontally so that it's only as wide as your data.

You may have to do some additional tweaking of the size and position of the subreport. However, if you can't get it to work from here, there may not be any way to get the format you're looking for. Crystal is very finicky about Excel exports and there are some things you just can't do.

Thanks for your reply, Dell. I tried, and it's the same; maybe because I have can grow ticked on few fields in the report and in the subreport???

Actually, I think it's just the fact that you're using a subreport. As I said, Crystal is very finicky about format and types of objects when exporting to Excel. Subreports are one area where we have little to no control over how they export. Is there a way to get your data without using a subreport?

I often export to Excel with subreports as one or more of my fields with success.
I do basically all the things Dell suggests above, but make sure you use MS Excel 97-2000 -
not MS Excel 97-2000 (Data Only)
