Hi

Can you use the export/import facility between databases with a where clause?

table = test where id !=4 Many Thanks!

Thiko!

yes with oracle 8i.
I am also new to oracle but i know 8i supports where clause cause i hv been also advised to use it in this forum.

I don't think the Oracle 8i export/import utilities support "where clause" record selection logic. At least if they do, it's news to me.

I think some posts suggested that Cyberdyne spool data to a file and later use the SQL Loader utility to load it back into tables. The reason for this suggestion was because of the limitations of export/import. Perhaps the same technique will work for you.
