I'm trying to export a know sized graphic from CorelDraw9 as a transparent Gif. This I manage but on importing it to Excel find it's size had tripled! If I export the same file as a jpeg, no problem it's 2cm in each application. Does anyone know how to maintain the image size of a GIF when exporting.

Hi DaveFish,

The problem is the resolution that you are exporting the gif.

I just duplicated the problem and with the default setting of 300 dpi it trippled the size of the image when I put it in Excell. so.... I set the resoultion to 96 dpi and it came out actual size in Excel.

you can find this setting in the "bitmap export" dialog box that pops up when you export.

I hope that helped.
