To elaborate on cjjn's post, yes, you can. You can save an Excel file as a different file format. Three common ways of saving an Excel Worksheet as a text file are:
>>CSV (comma-separated values)
>>Space-delimited (each cell is separated by a space)
>>Tab-delimited (each cell is separated by a tab character)
In all three of these instances, each row is printed on its own line.
