The Designer Diagrammers are OLE servers, so you can open the ER Diagrammer, select the elements that you want to export, copy them to the clipboard, then use "Paste Special" to paste them into any OLE client like Microsoft Word. You may then have to stretch the resulting box to the size you want.
However, this may not give you the result you want, as it does not result in a true export - one you can now modify in the new tool. I have had some success printing the diagram to a file with a driver for an HP plotter, then reading it into a graphic program that understands HP plotter language. The proportions are not quite right, and the elements are broken into many pieces that have to be reassembled into units. I have also assembled bit maps out of screen captures of the diagrams - not bad if you don't need to manipulate the result much. But I still wish Oracle would provide a true export facility.
