I'm trying to export a table directly from Access 2003 to a comma-delimited file (.csv)

I've defined the date column type as "short date". Imagine my surprise when the resulting .csv contains a date/time stamp (mm/dd/yyyy hh:mn:ss) in that field.

How do I achieve a simple mm/dd/yyyy?

Regards,

The best bet is to export from a query with a formatted date.

Terrific. Thanks.

In the meantime, I found that if I export to an excel spreadsheeet (.xls), then save to .csv, I get the result I want -- give or take that the first row of the .csv contains the column headings.
