Is there a way to export all data to text or csv file?

We have a notes product database, it does have an export to csv facility built in, but it doesn't output all the fields, description being a main one.

I'm in the process of writing a new product database and I want to import the old data into sql. I know nothing about notes databases or using designer. I did try opening the database in designer to see if its possible to add the fields to the built in export facility but its far too foreign to me.

Thanks for your help.

I have been playing a bit more in designer and have added columns in the export utility and when viewed show but unfortunately they don't appear when it exports, so I guess the columns are set elsewhere.

At the bottom it says Export then action which shows:

REM {Do not use view names with slashes in them - always use an alias to avoid problems};

@SetEnvironment("ViewToExport";"ExportProducts");
@Command([ToolsRunMacro];"Export")

I guess some kind of macro is running that does the exporting, any idea where I might be able to find this macro and edit it?

Ok I found an agent called Export I think I can see what needs adjusting. Hopefully I won't break it!

You can find a pretty good export to Excel script here.

It exports all columns in a view to an Excel sheet.

Pascal.

I've got nothing to hide, and I'd very much like to keep that away from prying eyes.

Thanks I did find something similar to that, in the end I managed to add in all the fields to the built in export view and modify the agent to get all the info I need. Not managed to get the pictures out of there but I have most of them saved in a folder so I'm all good now.
