Export Data to Exel or Word Document...

How can i Export data to an exel speadsheet or word document by Adding a Command Button to my application. Will it be the same in VB6 & Visual Studio 2005.

The datasource is SQL Server 2005. Sorry i mean, will the coding be the same. I use VB6 before & the application is .net of Visual Studio 2005

I assume that you are using something like ADO.NET to access the database. ADO (VB6) and ADO.NET are different as well. If you truly want a .NET solution to this I suggest you post the question in forum796

A VB6 solution would be something like this to export to Excel:

The above thread has Access as a datasource but you could easily modify the connection string to a SQL Server table.
