Hi Team
In reading all the do's and dont's here and am wondering if anyone has been able to export data in a DBF (Dbase) file format. This has been the way we have historically exported data in an acceptable file format for Clients to IMPORT..(set Field widths, types, etc)into their databases. The prev application used MSAccess97.

While Seagate 7.0 can export to Excel,et.al; the DBF file format is not supported. The DB is Oracle (Vs 8.1.7) and using SQL.qry in Seagate Info.

I dont want to go to an Access Front end with ODBC connects to Oracle if at all possible.

The applications will be running in a Citrix (thin client) environment from now onwards.

Any enthusiasts comments would be greatly appreciated.
TIA
Angus

Thanks, but is there anyway data can be forced out to another ODBC (dbase) connection via Seagate Info...has anyone had/seen any sql code...I assume the driver has to be loaded then you point to the driver..How is the dbf file format specified....
TIA
Angus
