I am trying to export a crystal report(a order form) to a file that I can e-mail to customers and allow them to edit the file(with order quantities) and e-mail back to me. The problem is when, I export to word and excel, the alignment is off. Does anyone have any suggestions for what format to export in that will also allow editing of the document? I was also thing about an Adobe writer but I am not sure if it will help.

Thanks You.

And I thought I would never see anything like this the rest of my life!

I did something very similar to this once and used a comma delimeted file as my export format, and wrote a MS Access application to read this file. The user then edited the qtys thru access without having to look at literally thousands of characters of data -- they only saw the pertinent stuff.

The purpose of the project was eliminate hours and hours of data entry by exporting Purchase order information to a major supplier, who edited the information to decide which of thier plants would fullfill the order, and the edited data was then imported to their ERP system.

As it was crystal played a small part in the overall project. Let me know if you have any questions.
