export crystal 8.5 to pdf from Macola 7.5.102e

Macola 7.5.102e, Pervasive.SQL

When I try to export a crystal report to a pdf file, it does not work.

That is: Crystal makes a pdf file containing the report, but when I try to open the pdf in Adobe 7.0 I get an error that reads:

"There was a problem reading this document (109)"

Has anyone encountered this? Can anyone help?

If you open a .pdf not made from crystal does it work?

If you close macola, open crystal and write a simple report and export it to .pdf, can you open that .pdf?

Yes, other .pdf's open

A crystal report (reporting off an Access database) generates a .pdf that will open.

Download the latest service pack for v8.5 (sorry I do not have the URL) and see if this resolves the problem.

Basically, the exporting in v7 crystal (which is what you are using in 7.5.102e) doesn't work. You need crystal 8.5, so upgrade & then you can go through the exercise of distributing the necessary dlls to the workstation & registering them.

MacolaHelp is correct. Sorry I guess it did not register but your ICRs are using version 7 of crystal, even if you are using crystal v11 for new reports.

Upgrade to 7.6.200 or newer and dump the v7 ICRs, and you should never have this problem again.
