Trying to export a big (lots of sub reports) CR8 report to DHTML... the export fails to create JPGs of one picture and 2 charts, and just uses its JPG of another chart in each case.

I wonder if the export creates the JPGs but overwrites due to a bad naming algorithm which can't handle charts in sub reports? Anyone know of a work around?

BillGeake: Not a workaround I;m afraid Bill but a glimmer of light ;-)

There is an acknowledged problem with the referencing of multiple subreports within CR. I flagged this up in v7 and they promised to sort it out real soon now!

What I have found is that once you've embedded a subreport it doesn't matter if you delete it and replace it with another completely different subreport - the name of the embedded subreport will remain as for the original.

I suspect that this is what is happening to your images and the only workraound I;ve found to this is to ensure that I've saved the individual components of my report i.e. mainreport saved as a standalone report, each subreport saved as a standalome report etc. and then re-construct with the building blocks! Thanks, David - I gave this a whirl but with no joy. Different results too if I go for 1 page or many pages options.

Eventually, as this export is supposed to be a one-off for demo reasons, I exported the individual sub-reports to DHTML and edited the main HTML to reference the right JPGs. Nasty but effective.

Bill.
