Is there a way in either AutoCad2000i or AutoCad2005 to export a large amount of text into Excel? What I have is a material list that varies in length and need to send the information to excel without re-writing. Would use block list and a Visualbasic program but the key is the list could contain one item or fifty so the list changes in height per number of items.

Hi Rufuss,

If the text is embedded in block attributes, you can just use the Attribute Extract command, then pick it up with Excel. The command is "_eattext". I don't recall if the command was available in 2000i or not but look on the tools pull-down menu, you should find it there.
