Well: First at thanks to your attention.
I have several problems when I tried to open a file captured with the ethereal sniffer because this program have very specified way of saving daa for sniffing.
Y will apreciate some tips in order to obtain an output such suitable , just to graph them with this ugly sniffer ( ethereal ) or just to convert them to sniffer asosciated forms .

Thanks again

If you go to my site and then Click on Ethereal, you will see how to generate a test file or click on 'Ethereal Presentation - User Group Presentation'

Hi,
Some thing that be may be of use is a software product called "ProConvert". It allows the user to change the format of capture files from one analyser type to another. It's made by a competitor to Sniffer "Wildpackets".

I find it particulary useful for changing Snoop dumps and tcpdumps to cap (sniffer) format.
Happy Sniffing
Alf

I purchsed Proconvert a few yearsd ago... and I must say that ethereal/tethereal does a much better job in converting trace files.
Editcap is a commandline tool that comes with ethereal.
cheers, walter
