Export Access table to Excel with hyperlinks?

I am using Access 2000 in Windows NT 4.0. I'm trying to export a table that contains hyperlinks within Access to Excel. However, when I open the Excel spreadsheet the links are gone (identifier is still there). How do I export this Access table to Excel and maintain the integrity of the hyperlinks so they can be opened from Excel as well as Access?
