export Access 97 table into Excel 97 spreadsheet

Hello,
I would like to export a table from Access 97 SR-2a into an Excel 97 SR-2a sheet. However, When I go to the Save As Type box to export it as the Excel sheet, Excel is not listed. How can I get excel to be one of the options in the Save As Type box? My understanding was it would be installed when the value pack for 97 was installed. I checked to see if Excel and Access were fully installed and they were. Is there something I missed? Thanks.
 
That should just work. Only thing I can think of is that you didn't install the necessary translator. I think this is not part of the Access installation. Might be in the Office 97 accessories. I'll have al ook off-line and get back to you if I can add anything useful.
 
I found the source of the problem. It turns out that it was a corrupt MSEXCEL35.DLL file. So, I just renamed it and re-installed the Excel drivers in Data Access and all is fine now.
