Apologies first -- I am a complete AIX moron but I have to figure this out to get our new system online. I am a programmer, not a sysad but our AIX admin is in the hospital.

Our consultant has asked for the following and it shouldn't be to hard but I don't understand too well what he is saying here. I have used mount before for simple needs but this seems out of my league.

We have 7 AIX LPARs currently (each named P01..PO7). Here is the question:

"Can we have another mount point /apps/psoft/indexes created on P06 and exported as NFS mount point to P01 and P04. Disk space 20 gigs.

This would be used to store verity search indexes for purchasing module and others."

The part that really throws me is the export part. I would appreciate any and all responses. Thanks.

type in "smitty nfs"' export the path; you can then specify eith "public" type or to a specfic host(s)
