I want to export the Contacts Tab contacts for each company,and have the company name fomr level 1 specified for each record in the export too, how do I do that? My user does not see an option for it in the export wizard (I am at a different local and dont have GM) - can someone tell me the steps 1,2,3

my export reocrds would look like this:

company,contacttab.name,adress1,address2,city,st,zip
(adress etc would be from level 1 master record)

thanks!

Hi,

What back end are you using sql or dbase.

I have created a view in sql to put all of the contact together, along with their relevant email address.

I could probably replicate this in access if you used dbase (as long as you have got access that is)

I do not know of a way of exporting the contact directly from goldmine, but i would assume you could use a 3rd party applcation such as goldbox to do this; but i would add i have never used this product so unsure if it can actually do this.

Let me know.

1 Tools|Import/Export->Export Contact records
2 Select: Export to a new file and .DBF dBase file
3 Next
4 Come up with a file name
5 Select PRIMARY and ADDITIONAL
6 Continue through the wizard and pick which fields you want exported...
