am trying to perform the following Excel function in a SAS data step

=0.3751*(31640/5/60)^-0.4988
Result = 1,162.12

But SAS doesn't like the following part of the calculation when I try to duplpicate

'^-0.4988'

Any ideas of how I can duplicate the calculation?

Thanks

what does "^" mean in Excel?
If it's "to the power", then the ^ should be replaced with **.
