MY
hi,
i got some problem with my windows. Its Windows 98 version 2. The problem is after a while using the windows, it suddenly comes out a warning message that my explorer need to be shutdownn. An exception has occured in a particular files especillay pdm.dll file.
May i know what is the cause behind this problem?
thanx

Do a search on your HD for the offending .dll file. Find out which program is using it, and reinstall the program.
If it's a kernel32.dll problem, then use SFC to extract one file from the CD, and replace kernel32.dll. If it's an explorer.exe (or IE) problem, then you should choose Add/Remove programs and select IE to remove. You'll get an option to "Repair IE", try it. If it's unrepairable, you will need to download and reinstall it.
As a last resort, you could reload windows over top of your existing one.
