explorer image quality help

Hello:
I have been working on my website for a few weeks, (my first time) and every time I test it, the image quality in "Explorer" looks a little pixelated, yet when I check it through "Safari", the images look great! Why could this be? I am a photographer so image quality is very important to me. I would appreciate help.

Are you a Mac user ? If a person uses Mac but still uses IE and not FF or Safari or Opera he deserves that quality I wouldn't bother.
