Explorer help. Cannot see 'Modified' column

I cannot figure out how to add the 'Modified' column on my windows explorer. Any help would be appreciated.

For instance, at the top of my windows explorer, the only fields I currently have are:

Name; Type; Total Size; Free Space;

That's the view you get when looking at the top level of the tree, such as My Computer. If you click on a drive, ie "C:", the view should include Name, Size, Type and Modified, providing you've selected View>Details
