In the "Tools" drop down menu of IE I noticed a new line added with "????????????". Clicking it directs the browser to a website I would like to remove.
I've tried clearing the Temporary Internet folder, cookies, and history, but this keeps showing up. I also installed the IE 6 upgrade and the media player security patch from 6-26-02.
Any ideas?

Thanks

I would first think that it is coming from a registry setting. Have you tried doing a search in the registry for that entry to see what is found? joegz

Yeah, as joegz says, it's probably coming from a registry entry put there by some spyware or scumware. If you do not wantr to play around in the registry, download and install/run AdAware from Lavasoft. It will find that and any other pests on the computer. You can get it from Download.com. It's free and very effective.

Good luck.
