When one opens the explorer (file manager) program in W2KP, the cursor goes always to the folder of "My Documents" under the administrator's folder section. I did have it setup to automatically go to a folder of my preference but with one of the (many) patch/security updates this has varished and has gone back to the original default.

There is a way of setting up with-in the registery to change this default to any folder that one desires... this info was released by someone a while back by someone I think with a tweaking helpful hints email.

Dose anyone know of the process or can you point me to the URL, etc that may assist me, many thanks.

River,

Yep, this one's pretty annoying!
To fix:
Right click on the Explorer and choose "Properties"
Change "Target:" to:

%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /n, /e, c:
If you prefer, change the "c:\" to any drive or folder you wish.

Note: simply copy and paste the above into your Explorer Target.

River,

Another stupid computer trick-
Hold down the "shift" key while double-clicking on the "My Computer" icon on the desktop.

Surprise!
