explorer.exe fault

Recently getting following message:

Explorer.exe - Application error
Instruction at "0x77f57ec4" referenced memory at "0x000000067". The memory could not be written.

Get this randomly when trying to open windows explorer, or within windows explorer trying to open folders. It freezes the screen and you have to OK Cancel, after about half a minute get the screen back again. Anybody come across this?
