explorer.exe failing to load

I have 1 desktop out of 300 that will no load explorer.exe, unless loged in a a admin, either local or domain.

sp3 is being used.

have tried microsoft for help, but soultion has no affect.

I have given everyone full control on system root and full control across a registry keys.

have replaced explorer.exe via dos.


Any ideas

If this was a Linux box, I'd help debug it. But it isn't. It could be a problem with permissions on explorer.exe or iexplore or some weird setting on them, or a corrupt dll, or bad non-read rights on a dll.... the list goes on and on.

Do what every windows user would do. format and reinstall. That's why Norton Ghost is soo popular.
