I have Win 2k sp4 and Citrix MetaFrame XP.

I set up a user to use Citrix, for the next two months when they are away on leave.

When setting the user up, I shadowed the session..

Now when ever (no matter where remotly or locally) they log in they just get a blue background screen and it just sits there.
I has able to send the CTR-ALT-DEL key and get the task manager up. I then goto Run and type explorer.exe.
The Window shell comes up fine..
Until you use Windows explorer or IE, then it gives me errors.

I deleted the profile and relogged in and encountered the same thing.

TO temporarily solve this I created a Second User, and gave them permisison to the same home directory and Excahnge Mailbox. It is working fine, but I would like to know why it did what it did.

Sounds like a profile problem. Where did you delete the profile from? If you are using roaming profiles and deleted the profile on the Citrix box without deleting the central profile then you would still have the same profile problem because when you log on it will load the 'dodgy' profile again. If you deleted the central profile without deleting the local profile you would encounter the same issue.

I am not using Roaming Profiles for this user.

I deleted the Local Profile from the CITRIX Box.

I did it from the user Profile Tab under System Properties.

I have seen this when the user is being prompted to answer a yes/no question in the background...like for drive mappings and password changes. If you logged the user in at the console, you would see the message.
