Hi!

I have a windows ME laptop.

When I use Windows Explorer to open a folder or to search for a file I see the error "Explorer has caused an error in <unknown>."
The same seems to happened when I clicked MY COMPUTER icon.
Anything else is normal.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks!

I have had this problem on many ME computers in my office and have never been able to pinpoint the exact cause. I am not an advocate of troubleshooting memory errors anyways so typically format and start over. My reasoning is that it is cheaper to spend an hour setting things back up rather than several days troubleshooting.

Look on microsoft's support site and see if you can come up with a quick solution...although experience shows me you won't. You're getting a memory error which MS will blame on some software program you installed.
