I am running W98SE on an Acer TravelMate 506DX. Upon shutting down each night I receive the following error messages:

LOADWC caused an invalid page fault in module RPCRT4.DLL at 0167:7fb9a83b.

Explorer causedd an invalid page fault in module OLE32.DLL at 0167:7ff38ae5.

I have checked every avialable source to no avail for this problem. Appreciate any help.

deke40,

Go to Start>Run, and type msconfig, click the startup tab and uncheck BrowserWebCheck, then try these commands from the Run box:

regsvr32.exe RPCRT4.DLL
regsvr32.exe ole32.dll
regsvr32.exe iprop.dll
regsvr32.exe oleaut32.dll

Then shutdown and restart your computer.

If this fails, try downlaoding DCOM98:

reghakr

reghakr

Did not have BrowserWebCheck in my startup, so I downloaded DCOM98. The OLE32.DLL and RPCRT4.DLL faults are still there but with different location numbers. They are as follows: OLE32.DLL at 0167:65fo99e and RPCRT4.DLL at 0167:7fb9a83b. If you have any further ideas it would be appreciated, if not I thank you for your effort to help with this problem.
