We are getting the following message when opening a web-page on one of our Metaframe Servers....

"This page provides provides potentially unsafe information to an Active X Control. Your current security setting prohibit running controls in this manner. As a result this page may not display correctly."

The Zone for I-Explorer is Local Intranet, which is correct, I have checked all the settings under Properties/Security and these are identical to other Metaframe Servers which are able to read the page....I've tried changing the settings to a custom level and "experimented" with each Active X parameter to no success....

If I read the page from a local I-Explorer and change the Active X settings I either get the message "Do you want to allow software such as Active X controls and plug-ins to run"....or the page doesn't display at all...

Is there another security parameter somewhere that I'm missing.......?????

I've re-installed I-Explorer to no effect.....

HELP.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Think I worked this out......I uninstalled the Acrobat plug-in....and re-installed....then enabled all the security settings for Acrobat....

To uninstall, remove the nppdf32.dll from
c:\program files\plus!\microsoft internet\plugins

To re-install, copy the file back into the directory....

I'm not exactly sure why this worked, but it has....????

Hmm. This is quite odd - I found that by enabling just about everything Active-X related in ALL zones was the only way I could stop this message. Did you install in change user/install mode?

Yeah, used Install Mode......was certainly very strange as the install was identical to our other Citrix Servers....it's working fine now after removing/recopying the Acrobat dll....????

Also had another strange problem with I-Explorer recently....we've had a few users ( <5 ) develop problems printing from I-Explorer....they can print fine from other apps, such as Word, Notes, etc....but I-Explorer simply prints blank pages....even although they can select the Network Printer and specify their print preferences....only way to fix this so far has been to recreate the user's profiles.....
