We use sms to deploy patches using batch files and qchain. A select group of users prefer to run the advertisment non-mandatory. I set up the package to run non-mandatory and after they have run the advertisment and installed sucessfully, they have a record of the package in the completed folder on the client.

We then expire the non-mandatory advertisment and create a new mandatory advertisement using the exact same package.

The problem that I have is that the users who have previously run the advertisment non-mandatory now suddenly see the same package run mandatory on their workstations. When I look in the completed folder I see that records of packages do not remain indefinate.

Do the records in the compled folder delete after a set amount of time after the advertisment expires? Should I keep the non-mandatory advertisment active through the scheduled period of the mandatory version?

Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
