Expired Transactions log backups may be not deleted by Maint. Plan

Hi,
How can I get the expired transaction log backups deleted automatically by a maintenance plan?. I've tried following the 303292 Microsoft Knowledge Article, but it didn't work. Any additional sugestion? Tkanks in advance.
