Hi all, we got a hardware error with one of our tape drive and so when Commvault tried to use it, it cannot. Now Commvault marked all the tapes that I think it was try to mount to this bad drive as expired. How do I change the status of the tape back to say Appendable, I can do this if the tape was mark bad but not expired. There're data on the tape so I cannot just delete it off the library.

Thanks for all your help

Hello

Have you tried deleting the tape from the Library and sending to export port. Then inport and they should all be in the scratch pool as new tapes since you deleted the tape from CommVault.

Did you try this?
