I am currently backing up 2 notes and 1 file/print server to a daily pool. There are 5 tapes in the pool and the data can just squeeze on. I am having a problem lately with the backup over running by 90 Gb or more. I have investigated to see if a job has ran twice and am positive that nobody has dumped that much data on any of the servers. The weekly jobs have the same save sets but work okay. After looking at the volume list 2 of the tapes that have last nights save sets on have no expiry set, just a "-". I don't know if this has anything to do with it but i'm struggling to figure this one out. I haven't got the media to expand the pools to accomadate and need a quick fix for this.

Cheers in advance for any help

Problem solved. Appeared that the savesets on two of the tapes had been aborted. There was 80 Gb of data written to tape but the deamon log showed that the backup had been aborted due to the default time out. Client retry resubmitted job.
