expiration dates on hp 2230 print cartridges

Is there any way to get around the expiration date on the print cartridges for the hp business injet 2230?

In general with 4050 and 8000 I got toner 4 years past the useby date. They still work, BUT in some case the toner compacts. With newer that have counters, you can buy a device that resets the chip on the toner (this is so you can refil them)
